Walk My Dog’s trainer Bartek Rutkowski has worked
training dogs for over ten years and has earned a wealth
of experience and knowledge in his field.
His interest in dog training came from his friend who began
training dogs for the police and for the army in Poland. It
quickly became his passion and systematically his
theoretical and practical knowledge deepened. In 2000 he
and his family opened a dog kennel which breeds Giant
Black Sznaucer’s which has achieved huge success both in

The Training:
Dogs don’t think like we do so we must use our knowledge
to think of ways to satisfy the dogs needs whilst achieving
our goals. When we stop being a “guide” for him and let
him do what he wants, we will inevitably have lots of
problems. Household problems may be easy to ignore but
it will cause loss of control of the dog when we take him
outside.
Training has a different meaning for us than it does to our
dogs. We would like to have a dog who:
• Does not disrupt us and the people around us.
• Is not aggressive with strangers.
• Is not troublesome in everyday life.
• Every owner will probably think of lots of things that
their dog should and should not do.
For a dog the most important thing is:
• To live in society and be part of the family.
• To have enough mental and physical stimulation
satisfy his/ her needs.
• To have enough exercise - walks, games, fun etc
Our goal is to achieve these whilst maintaining a strict
program that both you and your dog will enjoy and
ultimately reap the rewards of.
The training is very 'hands on', working both with the dog
and the owner. All training is reward based and no force is
ever used.
